Die
Stiftung für Kanada-Studien wurde im Jahre 1993 durch die Gesellschaft für Kanada-Studien e.V. begründet. Sie ist eine nichtrechtsfähige Stiftung in der treuhänderischen Verwaltung des Stifterverbandes für die Deutsche Wissenschaft e.V. und wird von diesem im Rechts- und Geschäftsverkehr vertreten. Die Stiftung verfolgt ausschließlich und unmittelbar gemeinnützige Ziele.

La Fondation des études canadiennes (Stiftung für Kanada-Studien) a été créée en 1993 par la GKS. Il s’agit d’une fondation sans capacité juridique qui est placée sous l’administration fiduciaire du Stifterverbandes für die Deutsche Wissenschaft e.V. et représentée juridiquement et administrativement par ce dernier. La fondation n’a aucun but commercial. L’objectif et les buts, ainsi que les différents programmes de recherche de la fondation sont définis dans son statut.

The Foundation for Canadian Studies was established in 1993 by the Association for Canadian Studies in German-speaking Countries (GKS). It is an unincorporated foundation discretionarily managed as well as legally and commercially represented by the Association for the Promotion of Sciences in Germany (Stiftungsverband für die Deutsche Wissenschaft e.V.). The foundation pursues exclusively charitable objectives. Its Purpose, objectives, and fellowship programs are specified in the statutes. Please find the foundation’s website here.
