Hotel am Badersee
Since 1981 GKS has been hosting its annual conference in Grainau near Garmisch-Partenkirchen. The conference venue is the Hotel am Badersee. Every year the conference is organized by one of the association’s Sections. The organizing section is responsible for choosing a conference theme, which provides an orientation for presentations held at the sections’ meetings and the young scholars’ forum. A book exhibition with recent Canadianist publications and an Inuit art exhibition by Mrs. Freia Saße’s Galerie CreARTion are further aspects of the conference.
