Since 1981 GKS has been holding its annual conference on diverse topics in Canadian Studies. Until 2024 the annual conference took place in Grainau near Garmisch-Partenkirchen. In 2025, we will move the conference to the Canadian Embassy in Berlin. Every year the conference is organized by one of the association’s Sections. The organizing section is responsible for choosing a conference theme, which provides an orientation for presentations held at the panels and the Emerging Scholars‘ Forum. A book exhibition with recent Canadianist publications is a further aspect of the conference.

The 46th annual conference will take place February 26 to March 1st, 2025 in Berlin

Student participants can apply for financial support from the GKS until 05.12.2024. Please send this form to our treasurer.
