Hotel am Badersee
Seit 1981 veranstaltet die GKS jeweils Mitte Februar ihre Jahrestagungen im Zugspitzdorf Grainau bei Garmisch-Partenkirchen. Tagungsort ist das
Hotel am Badersee. Die Organisation der Jahrestagungen erfolgt in einem lockeren Turnus durch eine der sieben
Sektionen der Gesellschaft, die für das Tagungsthema verantwortlich zeichnet, an dem sich auch die in den verschiedenen Fachsitzungen präsentierten Vorträge der Sektionen und des
Nachwuchsforums orientieren. Fester Bestandteil der Jahrestagung ist außerdem eine Buchausstellung mit kanadistischen Neuerscheinungen und die Ausstellung zur Inuitkunst der
Galerie CreARTion von Frau Freia Saße.

Jahrestagung 2012
Depuis 1981, la GKS organise ses congrès annuels en mi-février dans le village alpin Grainau près de Garmisch-Partenkirchen. Le lieu du congrès est l’Hotel am Badersee. L’organisation des congrès se fait à tour de rôle par une des sept sections de l’association. Celle-ci est responsable du thème du congrès, sur lequel portent aussi les présentations dans les différentes sections et dans le réseau des jeunes chercheurs. Une autre partie intégrante du congrès annuel est le salon du livre présentant des publications récentes dans le domaine des études canadiennes, ainsi qu’une exposition sur l’art Inuit par la Galerie CreARTion de Mme Freia Saße.
Congrès annuel 2012
Since 1981 GKS has been hosting its annual conference in Grainau near Garmisch-Partenkirchen. The conference venue is the
Hotel am Badersee. Every year the conference is organized by one of the association’s
Sections. The organizing section is responsible for choosing a conference theme, which provides an orientation for presentations held at the sections’ meetings and the
young scholars’ forum. A book exhibition with recent Canadianist publications and an Inuit art exhibition by Mrs. Freia Saße’s
Galerie CreARTion are further aspects of the conference.
