The International Council for Canadian Studies (ICCS) / Conseil international d’études canadiennes (CIEC) with its more than 23 associated organizations and more than 7000 members can best be described as a ‚virtual university‘ dedicated to the advancement of Canadian Studies around the world. The registered non-profit organization advances scholarship, research, teaching, and publication on Canada across academic disciplines. Within this general mandate the ICCS/CIEC focuses on three main tasks:

  • Advancing scholarship
  • Building an international community of Canadianists
  • Distributing research results and their public reactions
