Emerging Scholars Forum

Welcome! The Emerging Scholars Forum of the Association for Canadian Studies in German-Speaking Countries (GKS) is an open forum for national and international early career scholars (ECRs), including advanced students, who engage with Turtle Island in their research, for instance in the fields of Canadian Studies, Indigenous Studies, and Quebec Studies. The Emerging Scholars Forum offers ECRs from all related disciplines a space for collaboration where we discuss academic topics, share information about current activities, and exchange experiences about research stays at Canadian universities, scholarships, etc.

Our monthly online meetings are open to all interested ECRs. The team meetings are a place for academic exchange, collaboration, and support among ECRs. We look forward to getting to know you!

The predecessor of this website (nachwuchsforum.net), which emerged from an initiative of the Emerging Scholars Forum in 2005 with the support of the Global Affairs Canada, is no longer active.
