Der Aufgabenbereich:
Der Aufgabenbereich der Stelle liegt im Bereich der englischen Literatur- und Kulturwissenschaft (Britische und Postkoloniale Literaturen und Kulturen) und umfasst folgende Tätigkeiten:
• Mitarbeit bei Forschungsaufgaben im Bereich Literatur- und Kulturwissenschaft
• Entwicklung und Umsetzung eigener Forschungsprojekte, Erstellung einer Dissertation im Bereich der englischen Literatur- und Kulturwissenschaft
• Mitarbeit bei Lehrveranstaltungen und Prüfungen sowie Mitbetreuung von Studierenden an der Abteilung
• Mitarbeit bei Organisations- und Verwaltungsaufgaben des Bereichs
Voraussetzungen für die Einstellung:
• Min. gut abgeschlossenes Masterstudium der Anglistik/Amerikanistik (Master of Arts, Staatsexamen, Master of Education) an einer in- oder ausländischen Hochschule
• Ausgeprägtes Interesse an literatur- und kulturwissenschaftlicher Forschung im Bereich der Abteilung (history and development of the novel, contemporary drama, ecocriticism/environmental humanities, postcolonial studies, transcultural/ transmedial adaptation studies, literature and science)
• Interesse an internationaler und interdisziplinärer Forschungszusammenarbeit
• Sehr gute Englisch- und gute Deutschkenntnisse (English C2, Deutsch C1 Niveau)
Erwünscht sind:
• Vorerfahrungen in der Erstellung und Publikation von Manuskripten

The Centre for European Studies at Carleton University and the Konrad Adenauer Stiftung (Foundation Office Canada) invite applications for the position as Konrad Adenauer Visiting Scholar on Transatlantic Relations. The successful applicant will be scholar in residence at Carleton University for a period of four months, September – December 2023.
The position will involve teaching one MA-level seminar at Carleton University on a topic in transatlantic relations; the precise topic will be determined in consultation with the successful applicant to reflect their scholarly expertise. The course will be offered in the interdisciplinary Institute of European, Russian, and Eurasian Studies (EURUS), possibly cross-listed with another university department.
In addition to teaching, the visitor will be expected to give one lecture on the topic of their research, which will be presented in a public event co-hosted by the Konrad Adenauer Foundation. Other activities during the visitor’s stay in Ottawa (such as research activities, consultations with policy practitioners, guest lectures at other universities, etc.) are encouraged and will be facilitated.
Applicants must have demonstrated research expertise on transatlantic relations. They must hold a doctoral degree in a relevant discipline (including, but not limited to, Political Science, Law, Economics, etc.) and must have a record of publications and university teaching.
The visiting scholar will receive a stipend to cover travel and accommodation expenses, as well as a fee for teaching. The Centre for European Studies will provide advice to the visitor on finding appropriate accommodation in Ottawa and managing other logistical challenges of the stay.

- A letter of application, explaining the applicant’s interest in the position;
- A curriculum vitae, including a list of scholarly publications and teaching experience;
- A brief outline (maximum 200 words) of the proposed course; and
- A copy of a recent publication on a topic relating to transatlantic relations.

Bourse de mobilité pour les enseignant·es du postsecondaire hors Québec
La bourse de mobilité Jean-Cléo-Godin (CRILCQ – AIEQ) permet aux enseignant·es du postsecondaire de l’extérieur du Québec de venir au CRILCQ pour y poursuivre des recherches et profiter de l’ensemble des activités (séminaires, colloques, conférences, etc.) afin de préparer un nouveau cours portant en tout ou en partie sur la littérature et la culture québécoises.
Tout·e enseignant·e de niveau postsecondaire est admissible à l’exception des professeur·es titulaires d’un poste ou d’une chaire dans une université.
Cette bourse d’une valeur de 7 000 $ doit servir à couvrir les frais d’un séjour au Québec de trois mois.
Le séjour doit être effectué au cours de l’année universitaire suivant l’obtention de la bourse. Le·la candidat·e choisi·e sera appelé·e à participer activement aux activités et aux événements du CRILCQ, et sera sous la supervision d’un·e membre régulier·ère du CRILCQ.

The Robarts Centre for Canadian Studies invites applications for the 2023-2024 Robarts Visiting Professorship at York University (Toronto, Ontario).1 The Professorship is open to full- time (tenured or tenure-track) faculty members who have demonstrated scholarly expertise on Canada and a commitment to Canadian Studies, who are based outside the country, and who would like to work on a joint research project with one or many Robarts Centre Faculty Associate(s). Candidates who are planning to go on sabbatical or other leave during 2023-2024 will be given priority.
The Professorship will provide the selected faculty member with $2500 CAD in funding to cover travel and accommodations costs while in residence.2 Visitors will also be offered a shared office space in the Centre for the duration of the visit, and they will have access to York Libraries. The Archives of Ontario and the Clara Thomas Archives and Special Collections are also located on campus, and the Environment Canada Library is nearby. The Robarts Centre is also host to the secretariat of the International Council for Canadian Studies.
