The Emerging Scholars’ Forum of the Association for Canadian Studies in German-Speaking Countries (GKS) is organizing an online workshop titled
„Studying Indigenous Literatures and Cultures of Turtle Island in Europe: Questions of Methodology, Positionality, Accountability, and Research Ethics,“ which will take place
from May 5 to 6, 2022. During the two-day workshop, a small community of emerging scholars working on these topics will come together to discuss their ongoing research projects with peers and experts. With two introductory speakers (Dr Geneviève Susemihl and Prof Dr Astrid Fellner), two invited speakers (Dr Renae Watchman (Diné & Tsalagi) and Prof Dr Hartmut Lutz), twelve presenters, and a limited number of guests, we hope to create a safe space for scholars to learn with one another how to better engage with Indigenous literatures and cultures from a European perspective.
Because there are limited seats available, however, registration is unfortunately only open to participants and select guests.
